Social media has made us more of a comparative society than ever before ? Can you agree? My mom reminded me of this on yesterday. I was telling her about a picture of a couple on my newsfeed where the wife bragged about a great meal with her companion while the company (her companion) was the highlight the post. Hey, I believe there’s absolutely nothing wrong with posting pictures of your significant other. Truth is, we will rarely see those times in which these people disagree or maybe there’s infidelity present in the relationship though absent from the newsfeed.
I’ve even heard friends of mine comment to me how mutual friends of ours posts multiple pictures of date nights, anniversaries, and ‘just because’ outings with their significant others. I would remain them that those who creating the posts want to ingrain the happy and most pleasurable moments on FB but truthfully there’s a lot that may not be so pleasant that would taint our opinions of the relationships being displayed on social media.
My mom basically told me to not buy into what I saw and told her about. You know what, she’s absolutely right. If you just take time to get to know the people better and pay attention to their transparency, you may realize that what you see is not a full representation of what really is. What are your thoughts? Just speak on it!!!
