During this period of isolation, I find myself doing more of the things that I used to pay someone to do. I’m talking about mowing a yard or washing a car. Nah, I’ve always done those things myself. Those things are second nature to me. In other words, I’ve known how to do these things for many many years an do them well. Paying for a carwash or yard trimming is something that I usually dodge in the summer due to the heat.
However, I recently took up a hobby of doing my own nails. I learned about polygel through YouTube videos one day when I was just searching salon nails at home and v’iola. I went straight over to Amazon and placed my order for a kit , the Saviland Poly for Gel Nail kit, and couldn’t wait to try out this product. I got an assortment of different colors so that I wouldn’t have to rely on nail polish. My first set of nails was quite impressive. Considering I normally pay about $45 for a set of nails, getting this kit for only 30 bucks and having several colors and applications was a heck of a deal. With practice, I’ve perfected this newfound craft. Oh don’t worry, I’m not interested in becoming licensed with this new hobby. I just like the fact that I can have longer nails anytime I want from the privacy of my home at no additional expense. I can remove them whenever I like and re-apply a new set. As a musician and someone who types constantly during the day, I rarely get my money’s worth out of salon nails because I usually have to get them cut down pretty quickly and rarely get fills as often as needed.
