“Don’t shoot the ‘Messenger’ when you should be thanking them!!!”

I believe the surge of social media has made us closer and more distant at the same time. People are no longer picking up phones to call or check on those they haven’t spoke to in a while… that includes those people we consider ‘good friends’ and even family. Let’s be honest!
When you find yourself stumbling upon surprising information be it good, bad, or indifferent, ask yourself if you’ve done a good enough job of staying in touch with people before jumping the handle. Or, how about this one? Are you really as close as a person or group of people as you portray yourself to be?

Before social media, there was an even longer period of time before we learned new information about a person’s whereabouts, health updates, or important life changes. For this I say be grateful for platforms like social media notifying us sooner than later. Truthfully, no one has to share anything on social media at all. It’s a courtesy for people to let others into any part of their life. It’s not OWED. In fact, I am friends with people on FB who never post anything other than a thank you for birthday wishes or general holiday greetings! You know what? That’s their business. This just goes to show that they are not making social media their end-all and be-all and I can appreciate that. Silence is still golden and privacy is still bliss. If you don’t believe just think about some celebrity couples who we rarely see or hear about in the media. What are your thoughts on this matter? Just Speak On It!

  1. It’s simple to me, if it can be said on the phone, say it on the phone. I hate when people wanna have text wars. Just say it!

What do you have to say about it??? Just Speak On It!
